Well good luck with your studies but I have to say if you can’t find the reason why I didn’t get paid then I suggest you either re-read the article or work on your English level as it’s pretty damn obvious why I should have bee paid!

As I said before, just because it’s top 10 in China does not mean it is particularly good if compared to similar universities abroad.

but i will be honest with you dude… from reading your blog i psyclogically found you abit rude guy, and plus you havent mentioned whats the problem that made jilin unviesity not pay your 2 months salary , im sure i read the jilin universtiy side they will give me good clues and reasons for them doing that.

any ways im going to study in jilin university and i will prepare medicine, and im soo excited about that , many students there are pushing me to join them telling me that they love the university.
jilin university is one of the top 10 universities in china and if no one beleives the go to google and type china universites ranking 2009

i totally agree with you david..
i am an international student studying medicine in jilin university.
and i am also acquainted with yan shijun .
he is really a very arrogant person. he doesnt listen to students complain and any such student advice or suggestions just go down the drain. he controls our syllabus ,, and thanks to him we are being taught subjects in a disorderly fashion.. even exams are not scheduled properly.once we had 9 exams on 9 continuous straight days in winter .it really took a toll on us.

they act very irresponsible at times.. once we had an american teacher for a semester. and they wouldnt let her teach us the next semester because they could not pay her.. how selfish on their behalf to not think about how good the teacher can help the students . instead they just told her she could not teach again. we missed an opportunity to gain from that teachers knowledge. in all jida has many problems , even though it is one of the best universities in china… i think it should work better for this else its reputation will be tarred..

your english clearly isn’t good enough to be able to understand what I have written.
If you actually understood what I said then you would realise that all of the comments you have made make no sense whatsoever.

I suggest you re-double your english studies before passing judgment on something you clearly do not understand. When you can do this and not run my site through a translating website, I will be happy to hear what you have to say.

I have to say you don’t understand Jilin University totally. It is the one of Top 10 universities of China.
So, Why don’t you tell us sth about you? I’m sure you are a swindler!
You just bespatter this university because you do not like it. Maybe you have no chance to study in it. Maybe a girl of JLU refused you.

You are a person could just complain.
You are a person just hate JLU.

Oh it certainly is one of the top unis all over china. Top 10 according to the government league-tables – not that those mean much!

i’m from China and i’ve no idea that Jilin Uni is a top uni in China. You might be getting the wrong idea from the beginning. It might be a good one in the region but definitely not in whole of China!

Being here in Changchun myself I would have to say that Jilin University has received many complaints about its management. Everybody knows how corrupt any management can be anyway. Two month’s salary is quite a bit either way if you consider the time and effort it took you to prepare the teaching material, getting up to go to work, hell, it’s something you worked for and I completely am on your side where not wanting to handover the students’ grades are concerned… you’re right, that’s the only leverage you have.
